Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and the options are endless when it comes to what type of gift to get your mother. You could get her a gift card or some flowers, but what about those DIY gifts? Sometimes the gifts that mean the most are the ones that come from the heart. Here are some fun, easy DIY gifts you can make for your mom.

Mason jars are the best thing to use for this DIY project because they’re small enough to keep on her desk or somewhere handy to be read throughout the year. Just write down all of the reasons you love your mom and customize the jar. You can add some ribbons, words or pictures to the outside of the jar. You can also use a larger jar if you’re having trouble cutting down the list or want to go for the “365 Reasons Why I Love You” mega-list. Either way, it’s a perfect sentimental project.

Top two things mom’s love is wine and chocolate. This is the perfect gift to decorate a basket add her favorite wine and some of her favorite chocolate. It’s a great way to help her relax.

A Cupcake Bouquet

A cupcake bouquet would be a lovely, edible gift for Mother’s Day. Place a cupcake on skewers and try to cover up as much of the styrofoam. Place a piece of clear tape at the pinched part of the tissue paper and stick it to the exposed styrofoam in between the cupcakes. Make more tissue paper “leaves” until you cover all the open areas. Place styrofoam ball into a flower pot. Then you’re done!

This is a great gift for all of the earthy moms. You’ll need an outdoor rubber mat with holes and smooth ocean or river stones you can get from a craft store. Lastly, clear waterproof silicone sealer with a plastic drop cloth or old shower curtain. Work on a plastic drop cloth or old shower curtain. Arrange your stones on the mat so you can make sure you have enough. Once you have them arranged, start on one corner and pick up a stone, squeeze out a dab of the silicone sealer on the back of the stone and place it back down on the mat. Hold for a few seconds and repeat with remaining stones. Then wait at least 24 hours before moving and using the mat.

Whichever gift you decide to use, make sure you have fun with it and get creative. Whatever you decide your mother will surely love it.
