The annual Peach Drop will be held at Underground Atlanta on Monday, December 31. Admission to the outdoor event is free, with gates opening at 6 p.m. and music starting at 7 p.m. Monday. This year’s celebration will feature musical acts Jagged Edge, 112 and Better than Ezra.

2. Opera Night Club

Garden Lights Holiday Night features impressive light shows throughout the Garden, including Storza Woods, the model train displays, and the Radiant Rainforest, just to name a few. The new Nature’s Wonders display features thousands of strands of synchronized dancing lights. You can bring in the new year with beautiful lights that the whole family will enjoy, and the kids can still be back by bed time!

4. Stone Mountain Park

If you have little ones who still want to celebrate the New Year, bring them over to Stone Mountain’s Kids’ Early New Year’s Eve Celebration for only $35.  Because kids are just as excited to ring in the New Year as their parents—but need to be in bed before midnight—Stone Mountain Park is set to host an early New Year’s Eve Celebration. During Stone Mountain Christmas on Dec. 31, Stone Mountain Park will operate the Christmas event as usual and then they’ll ring in the early New Year with a magical snowfall and early 2019 countdown. Immediately after the Snow Angel Snowfall and Fireworks, the New Year’s Eve activities will begin with costumed characters, music, and a dance along. At 8:59 p.m., the early New Year countdown will begin and when the clock strikes 9 p.m., more snow and fireworks will usher in the early New Year!

5. Aquarium

If you have a much more mature taste, then you may prefer to spend your New Year’s Eve at the Georgia Aquarium. You’re invited to ring in the New Year at downtown Atlanta’s most exciting New Year’s Eve party: Georgia Aquarium’s Black and White New Year’s Celebration! You can feel good about attending because this special event is a fundraiser for our vital research and conservation programs. For only $150 you can toast to 2019 amongst whale sharks, sea otters, jellies, hundreds of fish and, of course, the black and white tuxedoed hosts, the endangered African penguins! Suggested attire is black and white cocktail attire. Attendees must be 21 and older.
